Beauty in every sense
When I made my choice to go to Sheffield,
I was met with some mixed reactions.
There are, of course,
those who approved and advised me based on their own travelling experiences.
Then, there are those who exclaimed,
"Sheffield?!
But there's nothing there, it's so secluded!"
Nevertheless, I took their opinions with a pinch of salt and hoped for the best.
And I wasn't disappointed.

My first view of Yorkshire |
 |
Hmm....fishing anyone? |
 |
Despite being called the Devil's Cauldron, the view is actually breathtaking |
The greenery, the rolling pastures, the rustic,
brick buildings that surrounded me....
Honestly, it is so very different from the suburban area
I live in and seeing what I have seen so far
makes me feel as if I'm living out a story rather than reality.
This prompted me to as many pictures as I possibly can of my surroundings.
Of course, my parents lament that they see more scenery than they see me
but could you blame me?
After seeing all these?
 |
An old seaside town.... |
 |
With waves crashing along the shore.... |
 |
A lighthouse to light the way.... |
 |
To Whitby in all its glory.... |
 |
Flowers bloom along the road home.... |
 |
With history behind its walls.... |
 |
Among rushes the wind blows.... |
 |
So lay a peaceful abode. |
Wow, looking at these sure inspired me to create a poem,
though I'm not too sure whether it's a good one....
 |
Foxglove - my favourite shade of colour by far! |
 |
Bright yellow flowers everywhere! |
 |
Sky so blue - so near, yet so far.
Thus saying, who says Sheffield has nothing? |
