Student Food Hunt
There are days where we do not have the luxury of time to cook a little something for ourselves, especially on Wednesdays where lessons after lessons only enable us to grab a quick bite to it. Not exactly a full meal, but it will have to do for our rumbling tummies.
I can remember one of our first of many meals shortly after we arrived in Sheffield....
Clockwise from top-right:
Bolognese pasta, Yorkshire pudding with sausages,
mashed potatoes and peas and banger and mash
.
The sausages were crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, going oh-so-well with the mashed potatoes which was so soft and smooth it practically melts in my mouth!
The Yorkshire pudding itself is a nice accompaniment,
absorbing the gravy made sweet by the onions.

Smothered Chicken |
Then there was the Smothered Chicken - fried chicken layered with bacon on top
as well as tomato and melted cheese.
Very flavorful, the bacon especially.
A little salty, a little cheesy....
Yum.

Jacket potato with cheese filling and salad |
The jacket potato I had was practically drowned in cheese.
So despite the small portion, it's actually quite filling.
To balance it off, there was crisp salad with fresh cherry tomatoes and cucumber.
....Gosh, I'm getting hungry just thinking about it now.
.
Anyone up for a snack?
